Bois de Paradis


Today's fragrance is Parfums DelRae's Bois de Paradis Eau de Parfum. The notes in this fragrance are: Citrus, French rose, blackberry, fig, spices, woods and amber.

When first applied to my skin I could smell the blackberry and fig right away but those were overshadowed by the scent of strong cinnamon (more like stick than ground), cedar, pine and amber. After a while my skin warmed the blend and the blackberry and fig mix with the cinnamon and cedar. I can smell a powdery rose very faintly but no citrus at all.

If you'd like a sweeter version of Hot Couture, you'd like this because the fig really makes all the difference in this fragrance. A little goes a long way with this one because it is a heavy fragrance. I think this would be beautiful worn day to night in deep autumn or winter. It's definitely a cold weather fragrance and I'm really loving it! I wish I had discovered this several months before but it's certainly something to look forward to in several months!
